The Sea-Doo Carbon Ring Kit is a genuine OEM driveline service kit designed to maintain the carbon seal system used on many modern Sea-Doo 4-TEC watercraft. The carbon seal assembly creates the watertight seal between the driveshaft and hull by pressing the carbon ring against the stainless steel wear ring on the driveshaft while allowing the shaft to rotate freely.

As the driveshaft spins, the carbon ring maintains constant contact with the wear ring to prevent water from entering the hull. Over time the carbon surface naturally wears due to friction and heat. When the carbon ring becomes worn or damaged, the seal can weaken and allow water intrusion into the hull. Replacing the carbon ring kit restores proper sealing pressure and helps maintain reliable propulsion system performance.

This kit is commonly replaced during jet pump removal, driveshaft service, engine maintenance, or preventative servicing of the Sea-Doo carbon seal system.
