The Sea-Doo Carbon Ring Kit is a genuine OEM service kit designed to restore the carbon seal system used on modern Sea-Doo 4-TEC propulsion systems. The carbon seal assembly creates the watertight seal between the driveshaft and hull by pressing the carbon ring against the stainless steel wear ring on the driveshaft while allowing the shaft to rotate freely.

As the driveshaft spins, the carbon ring constantly rides against the wear ring to maintain sealing pressure. Over time the carbon surface naturally wears due to friction and heat. When the seal becomes worn, water can enter the hull and compromise the driveline system. Replacing the carbon ring kit restores proper sealing pressure and helps maintain reliable operation of the propulsion system.

This OEM kit is commonly replaced during driveline maintenance, jet pump removal, engine service, or when signs of carbon seal wear are present.
